You can talk to me
when your heart is heavy.
You can come to me
when your thoughts are loud.
Your heart is safe here.
You are safe here.

supporting approaches
Every person has walked a different path in life. It is my belief that counselling needs to be flexible and focused on the clients needs. When working with clients, I like to pull from different techniques based on each individual’s needs. Through talk therapy our time together will be centered around you. Free of judgement, allowing you the freedom and space to unearth the causes of heaviness or pain.
-
Valuing your capacity, skills, knowledge, connections and potential in individuals and communities. Focusing on strengths does not mean ignoring challenges, or spinning struggles into strengths. We will work in collaboration to help you do things for yourself confidently.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focusing on your thoughts, that may cause certain feelings, making you behave in ways that may not feel authentic to your true self. By working with the thought patterns we can work toward more ideal outcomes.
-
Body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body. Our bodies hold stress and trauma, by clearing these blockages we can heal holistically. By practicing somatic therapy you will feel more connected to yourself and learn to understand where your unmet needs lie.
-
Our lives are filled with stories we tell ourselves. We can work to explore these stories to uncover your meaning behind these stories to bring positive changes. You are not the problem, the problem is. We will work to separate the two so that you can uncover the stories you have been carrying, that could be holding you back from living a fulfilled life.
-
Focusing on self discovery, self-awareness. Exploring your deeper sense of satisfaction and fulfillment for the present moment and future goals.
-
Learning tools to effectively communicate with your partner and move through gridlock situations. A strong friendship is the key to healthy relationship. Couples will walk away with a deeper understanding of their partner.
-
Honing in on your desired outcomes and the steps for you to get there. Expanding your vision of who you are and what you are capable of.
